Investigate, propose and implement changes to Spotify's Enterprise Security posture across domains including: IAM, Single Sign on, Endpoint Management, and Networking. Lead governance and oversight of enterprise security tooling, including password managers and enterprise browsers. Mentor and support the growth of engineers around you, raising the security bar across the organization. Who You Are You have several years of experience in enterprise security at fast moving technology companies. Alternatively, you have deep expertise in enterprise systems engineering and are ready to transition into a security-focused career. You have demonstrated experience applying enterprise security principles across IAM, SSO, networking, and device management, and you understand how these domains interrelate to form a cohesive security foundation. You can think like an attacker and understand how to identify risks and implement countermeasures against threats that span identity, endpoint, network, and cloud boundaries. You have a solid understanding of the risks introduced by agentic AI in an enterprise context and you are eager to get hands on identifying and mitigating these risks in our environment. You actively leverage AI tooling to augment your own work and are eager to explore how emerging AI capabilities can be applied to enterprise security challenges. You can critically evaluate tools, practices and procedures, and you're willing to advocate for improvements and change when you see opportunities or risk. You have an understanding of the current threat landscape, and want to be part of a team creating and implementing state of the art security solutions in a SaaS driven enterprise environment. You communicate complex security topics clearly to both technical and non technical audiences, and you're skilled at building alignment across a global, cross functional organization. You'll build tooling and automation, define policies and guardrails, and partner closely with teams across IT, infrastructure, legal, and beyond to keep Spotify moving fast without compromising on security. The ideal candidate brings solid professional experience in enterprise security, strong technical foundations, and a genuine comfort with AI, both as a tool to augment their own work and as a surface area to secure. Just as importantly, you're an excellent communicator who can translate security priorities into language that resonates across a global, cross functional organization. What You'll Do Drive the evolution of Spotify's enterprise security program by identifying gaps, proposing improvements, and implementing changes that balance strong security with a frictionless employee experience Design and build security automation, integrations, and internal tooling to scale enterprise security and reduce manual toil. Collect and analyze high quality security data to improve detection capabilities and generate data driven insights that shape the direction of the enterprise security program Define and implement security hardening, guardrails and policies for enterprise applications and SaaS platforms. Partner with Site Reliability, IT, and other Security teams to provide expert guidance on enterprise security best practices and drive meaningful improvements to systems and processes. Investigate, propose and implement changes to Spotify's Enterprise Security posture across domains including: IAM, Single Sign on, Endpoint Management, and Networking. Lead governance and oversight of enterprise security tooling, including password managers and enterprise browsers. Champion and enforce enterprise security best practices across endpoints, enterprise products, and network infrastructure, advising bandmates and teams along the way. Collaborate closely with IT, infrastructure, legal and communications to ensure a coordinated approach to enterprise security. You thrive in a flexible environment with broad scope and you're energized by the freedom to innovate and challenge conventional security thinking. You will design scalable systems for processing millions of transactions and support backend capabilities essential for financial operations. Ideal candidates will have over a year of data engineering experience, a foundational understanding of system design, and a passion for collaboration. The role offers flexibility with an emphasis on inclusivity and accessibility in the recruitment process.
At Spotify, we're building the revenue platform that drives how revenue and taxes are processed across the company - enabling reliable, scalable financial operations across every market, product line, and partner. Our systems are essential to Spotify's ability to earn, track, and report revenue and taxes, supporting everything from subscriptions and advertising to creator payouts. As engineers on this team, we design and maintain the backend and data platform capabilities that power millions of transactions each day with precision. We build services that handle tax calculations, produce compliant financial records, and support regulatory requirements across global markets - all while staying agile to keep up with Spotify's evolving business models. We equip Finance teams with flexible, configurable tools that govern how revenue and taxes are applied across products, enabling rapid adjustments without needing deep technical expertise. Our modular, process-oriented components simplify the development, maintenance, and scaling of the critical Order to Cash enterprise process that underpin Spotify's financial operations. What You'll Do Gain deep expertise in Spotify's revenue platform, understanding how it enables financial operations, compliance, and strategic decision-making. Design and implement scalable backend and data systems that process millions of transactions daily - supporting accurate tax calculation, billing, revenue recognition, financial configuration, and tax reporting. Build intuitive, self-serve tools that empower Finance teams to define and manage product-specific revenue and tax configuration independently, without requiring engineering involvement. Develop and enhance modular platform capabilities that encodes critical enterprise workflows, promoting consistency, reusability, and ease of maintenance across financial systems. Lead the creation of new platform capabilities within the Tax Solutions space, focusing on Tax Reporting and global regulatory compliance. Partner closely with Engineers, Product and Finance stakeholders to design systems that are scalable, auditable, and highly reliable. Champion engineering best practices, strong architectural design, and operational excellence across backend and data platforms. Foster a collaborative team culture rooted in shared ownership, constructive feedback, and continuous improvement. Who You Are You have 1+ years of experience in data engineering, including building and maintaining data pipelines. You possess a foundational understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms, coupled with a strong desire to learn quickly, embrace feedback, and continuously improve your technical skills. You're familiar with cloud-native development and deployment, ideally within the Google Cloud Platform. You think critically about system design and strive to build solutions that are reliable, maintainable, and auditable at scale. You have good communication skills and can articulate your ideas and ask clarifying questions. You love collaborating with others. You thrive in ambiguous and fast-changing environments, and know how to make progress even when requirements are evolving. You approach platform engineering with empathy for your users - prioritizing usability, configurability, and long-term sustainability. You care deeply about code quality, testing, and documentation, and you aim to build systems that are easy to understand and operate. You enjoy collaborating across functions and bring clarity and alignment when working with engineering, finance, and product partners. You're naturally curious, self-motivated, and always looking for ways to grow your technical skills and improve how things are done. Where You'll Be This role is based in London, United Kingdom. We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. Spotify is an equal opportunity employer. You are welcome at Spotify for who you are, no matter where you come from, what you look like, or what's playing in your headphones. Our platform is for everyone, and so is our workplace. The more voices we have represented and amplified in our business, the more we will all thrive, contribute, and be forward-thinking! So bring us your personal experience, your perspectives, and your background. It's in our differences that we will find the power to keep revolutionizing the way the world listens. At Spotify, we are passionate about inclusivity and making sure our entire recruitment process is accessible to everyone. We have ways to request reasonable accommodations during the interview process and help assist in what you need. If you need accommodations at any stage of the application or interview process, please let us know - we're here to support you in any way we can. Everything we do is driven by our love for music and podcasting. Today, we are the world's most popular audio streaming subscription service.

The Performance Optimization Squad is a newly formed team in the Core Infrastructure Studio with a mission to establish a core competency in performance engineering and address systemic inefficiencies across Spotify's platform. With 3,200+ microservices, 40,000 VMs at peak, and 500,000 K8s pods, even minor fleet wide efficiency improvements result in substantial cost savings. We've already identified $8M+ in annual savings from our first initiative alone, and we're just getting started. This squad works horizontally across the entire stack - but none of that optimization happens without the data to see it. We're looking for a Data Analyst who will build the measurement foundation that drives every decision we make. What You'll Do Optimization at this scale is only possible when someone can see the problem clearly. You'll build the data foundation from scratch; designing and owning the datasets, pipelines, and metrics that make performance inefficiencies visible across the platform. Design, build, and maintain datasets and data pipelines that surface resource utilization, cost, and performance signals across Spotify's infrastructure Define and own metrics for efficiency, latency, and resource utilization; turning raw infrastructure signals into insights that drive prioritization Proactively investigate performance data to surface optimization opportunities, not just respond to engineering requests Build dashboards and analyses that support decision making across the squad and partnering platform teams Work with engineers and platform teams to define guardrail metrics, validate findings, and measure the real world impact of optimization efforts Translate complex infrastructure data into clear stories for both technical and non technical audiences Own the data foundation: There is no inherited data infrastructure here; you'll design and build it from scratch. What gets measured, and how, is yours to define See your impact directly: Every insight you surface translates into cost savings. We measure success in dollars saved and efficiency gained; your work shows up in production Breadth at scale: Work across the entire Spotify platform; 3,200+ microservices, 40,000 VMs, 500,000 K8s pods. Few companies offer data problems at this scale Greenfield from day one: Help shape the culture, tooling, and data strategy of a brand new squad with strong executive support Who You Are You have experience working with infrastructure, platform, or cloud cost data; Kubernetes metrics, cost attribution, utilization signals, or observability data feel familiar Or you're a strong technical analyst with enough grounding in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure to navigate GKE cost data, JVM metrics, and resource utilization signals You write clean, efficient SQL and Python; comfortable enough to model data and build lightweight pipelines, not just query existing tables You're self directed: at your best when hunting for problems in the data, not waiting to be handed them Comfortable with ambiguity and able to carve your own path in an early stage, unstructured environment Experienced with data visualization tools (Looker or similar) and know how to make a dashboard tell a story, not just display numbers You communicate clearly and confidently with engineers and non technical stakeholders alike Where You'll Be This role is based in Stockholm or London.
