City, Birmingham Pontoon ***Developer - React.JS/Java - Contract - Birmingham*** Developer - React.JS/Java 6 Month Rolling Contract Birmingham £Competitive pwd Job Duties: Develop and test front-end web pages, functionality and styling to meet designs and complex requirements, and deliver strategic business objectives Develop and test back-end web applications and business services to meet designs and complex requirements, and deliver strategic business objectives Configure and extend development tools and frameworks, build and test tools where required Use and improve front-end style guides, JavaScript libraries, Java coding standards, unit tests and test frameworks as required Support development colleagues with peer review activity as required Participate in agile scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, providing estimates and updates for development activity Working as part of the development team to help understand and shape business requirements Working with the development team and test team to help devise, plan and document tests Participate and contribute to all agile ceremonies; planning, estimation, show & tells and retrospectives Work with analysts to interpret high level requirements for complex, large scale initiatives and decomposing them into independent stories for consumption by team member Work in a collaborative, sharing, open, transparent way Escalating complex challenges, issues and risks as well as proposed mitigating actions Driving continuous improvement efforts by identifying and championing practical means of reducing time to market while maintaining high quality products Develop CI/CD pipelines from Development through to Production implementation Manage application build & deployment into cloud platforms Undertake UI testing in an automated fashion Work with business analysts to interpret high level requirements and decomposing them into independent stories for consumption Doument design & implementation logic Develop mobile friendly & responsive UI Skills Required: Strong experience of Java & related scripting technologies such as Java Script, Perl, Python Solid working experience of React scripting & UI design & implementation Good experience in server side programming would be desirable (e.g. C#) Experience of using Build & Deploy tools - Such as Jenkins, Maven, OctopusDeploy Hands-on experience of application development & deployment in Cloud (AWS and / or Azure) & related technologies such as Serverless / Dockers Experience of DevOps, Continuous Integration, deployment & operations concepts Passion for technology, web design and user experience An understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive web design Experience of guiding junior developers in the team

City, Birmingham Pontoon ***Senior Developer/Devops - API/Mulesoft - Contract - Birmingham*** Senior Developer (Devops) - Mulesoft 6 Month Rolling Contract Birmingham £Competitive pwd Qualifications Required: Mulesoft certified Job Duties: Lead a DevOps team specialist on API Development & production incident resolution Hands-on contribution to the technical code and design documentation Develop relationships with partners & project managers by translating API requirements into design implementations & take ownership for API implementation Own the Technical Relationships with various consumers of the APIs Provide Technical support including Technical Enablement on Application, Solution Development and Implementation of Roadmap & effort estimates Support & undertake evaluations and technical proof-of-concepts Evaluate and recommend the development methodologies, frameworks and modeling techniques Identify and address design challenges and work closely with architecture community Ensure that the application design is adequately documented and approved Understand / apply reusable code design, leverage application architecture / framework capabilities and functionality, and design / develop solutions that are highly reliable, scalable, and perform to meet business-defined service levels Conduct code reviews and ensuring quality solutions are built and tested Take full ownership of code quality and implementation of API designs into fully working APIs Assist developers during the development process to address any technical and design challenges Govern & design CI/CD pipelines from Development through to Production implementation Manage application build & deployment into cloud platforms Skills required: Experienced in Mule technologies (Anypoint platform) design, devlepment & implementation Experience of Jenkins, Maven, Chef, Puppet Working knowledge of JIRA Strong experience in Java Scripting abilities using Java Script, Python, Perl.
