DevOps Technical Engineer - DnA Our Role You'll be working in a Scrum Team to build the foundations of a DevOps Service with a focus on implementing automation, Data Scientist and Developer self-serve, and CI/CD for analytics development on the Microsoft Azure Platform. The focus of your role will be on implementing the best-practice service and then delivering this DevOps Service, monitoring and operating the Azure DnA platform. Your Skills and Experience In this technical role, you'll have experience in: driving Agile best practice into the team; implementing and executing continuous integration and continuous delivery strategies; designing, building, and operating solutions using Azure cloud technologies; Data Management e.g. data profiling, large volume data handling; automated data driven testing; PaaS, IaaS, VM, Windows Administration, Azure network; DevOps on Azure and VSTS for Analytics Platform in Azure/VSTS You'll act as SME in DevOps development standards using your extensive experience of developing using the Azure analytics components including Data Lake Store, Power BI and Microsoft Visual Studio, Data Factory, HDInsight, Data Factory, SQL DB/DW and SSIS. You'll also be fully conversant with Agile and DevOps development methodology and concepts as applied to data driven analytics projects, including CI/CD Coding and testing standards. You must have experience writing scripts (PowerShell) to build and deploy environments using Infrastructure-as-Code, along with VSTS experience. It would also be useful if you have a clear understanding of gas and electricity industry dataflows, metering standards and regulations as well good communication skills with attention to detail. Your desire to achieve results, work well in a team and adaptability to changing requirements would also be beneficial.
