Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Full Time Salary: circa £65,000 per annum Closing Date: 26/03/2021 About the Role The purpose of this role is to lead the Technology Department which covers Application Support, Infrastructure, Service Desk, Field Services, Image Transfer and Information Security. The primary goal of this role is ensuring that the teams effectively deliver all Information Technology services and projects within budget, on time and in line with the overall business strategy. Of particular importance to the business is the continued development of the information systems, workflow tools and industry specific applications which are key to the efficiency of the business and also used to differentiate the business from the competition. This role is seen as key to identifying future technologies and opportunities whilst driving the development of existing tools and applications. This post holder is the champion of technology within the business and is responsible for ensuring that the differing business units and departments have access to the tools they need to be most efficient and most effective. It is also expected that they drive an agenda of innovation and technology adoption in order to promote business strategies and competitive positioning. The holder of this position will create and maintain a Technology based strategy and roadmap that meets business needs, both in terms of growth and desired capability, whilst fitting into the framework established by Group IT. This role should also focus on ensuring that, where business constraints allow, ICT best practice is followed whilst always looking to identify opportunity to improve service, reduce costs or increase business capability through effective Information Technology implementations.
