As a Junior Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our AML Web application. You will work in a cross functional team to enhance the application's functionality and ensure it meets industry standards. Your primary tasks will include writing clean, maintainable code and ensuring that performance targets are consistently met or exceeded. VARIED DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES Feature Development: Evolve our current platform by developing new features and enhancing existing ones. Debugging & Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues to ensure smooth functionality. Agile Collaboration: Work within Agile squads to deliver project goals in a timely manner. Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing learning to improve your skills and overall performance based on set targets. Duties and Responsibilities: Work to agreed targets. Participate in peer code reviews with clear explanations. Investigate and track down bugs, creating resolutions. Accurately record issues, features, and business requirements. Adapt to working with multiple priorities that can change regularly. Actively participate in team sessions such as Backlog Refinements, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives etc. Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE? Good written and verbal communication skills and a good standard of English. Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and software testing. Competence with Web development. Awareness of secure by design practices. Desire to keep up to date with technology changes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience or interest in working within Agile methodologies. Business awareness, understanding how your work helps customers. Nice to Have: Experience building and consuming REST APIs, and consuming SOAP requests. Experience with Git version control. Experience working with Docker across all environments from local to production. Experience with PHP frameworks, ideally Symfony. Competence with MySQL.
