Exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic (or aspiring) Software Engineer to join a team building the next generation of scientific analysis and instrument control software in Manchester! Our client is looking for a friendly, flexible and motivated individual who enjoys programming and problem solving. Coding mainly in C# and C++, you will be designing and building new applications against existing technology platforms as well as designing and implementing extensions to underlying frameworks for scientific instrument control, data acquisition and data processing. You will be joining a friendly and dynamic software team within a collaborative working environment where you will be encouraged to share and suggest new ideas. Excellent communication and team skills are a must, as is an Engineering/Software/Science background. To be considered, you must have a proven track record with C# or C++. .NET knowledge and previous algorithm and UI development experience is highly desirable. This is a full-time permanent position and our client will consider a broad range of candidates, from graduates with exposure to programming to experienced Software Developers with relevant skills and experience. NB: Long-term contractors (minimum 12 months contract) with the right skills and experience will also be considered.
