IT Support Engineer Oxfordshire (hybrid) Permanent Highly Competitive £salary with excellent benefits Azure, AWS, IT Support, 2nd line, Entra ID, M365 Company Overview Our client; a high-tech international manufacturing and engineering company is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join its growing operations in Oxfordshire. Position Overview The role provides 1st and 2nd line technical support across the organization's corporate infrastructure, cloud environments, and specialized engineering systems. Responsibilities Technical Support: Deliver 1st/2nd line resolution across M365, AWS, and internal systems, escalating 3rd line issues to senior engineers. Identity & Access: Provision, manage, and audit user accounts and access rights using Entra ID and Autopilot. Endpoint Management: Configure laptop builds, package applications via Intune, and proactively deploy OS patches and software updates. Network& Security : Troubleshoot LAN/WAN faults and manage Netwrix Auditor to ensure estate compliance. Infrastructure Operations : Monitor data backups, maintain asset inventories, and author technical systems/user documentation. Global Collaboration : Partner with the international IT team to optimize workflows and support occasional on-call rotas. Essential Skills & Experience Experience: Proven professional track record as an IT Support Engineer. OS & M365: 2+ years administering Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint). Deployment: Practical experience with laptop automation, endpoint imaging, and configuration life cycles. Technical Troubleshooting: Structured, critical approach to diagnosing complex hardware and software faults. Execution & Comm: Strong workload prioritization, strict adherence to standard procedures, and clear technical communication skills. Desirable Skills Intune & Azure: Advanced Intune MDM profile configuration and practical exposure to Azure cloud infrastructure. Scripting & MacOS: Automation capabilities using PowerShell and core management of MacOS endpoints. Networking: Experience configuring Cisco Meraki infrastructure and utilizing native network diagnosis tools across Windows/Mac/Linux. Security & Frameworks: Functional understanding of cybersecurity practices and experience operating within an ITIL framework. Certifications: Relevant industry credentials (eg, CompTIA, Microsoft).
