Temporary* Technical Documentation Author based in Ely Location: Ely Duration: 1-2 months We have a 1-2-month temporary vacancy for a Technical Documentation Author based in Ely. As a Technical Documentation Author, you will be responsible for contributing to the documentation of a complex .net based object orientated API. To successfully execute this role, you will need to be experienced in the documentation of similar software APIs as you will be working in close proximity with the software engineering and technical support team to ensure the successful documentation of the API to successfully serve all customer demands. Solution Architect Perm Hours: 37.5 hours Location: Birmingham Our clients an exciting and progressive company based in Colshill are recruiting a solution architect, working within the Software & Analytics team you will also be principally responsible for defining and implementing system architectures with cloud environments; define data pipelines, storage and management; and guide the productization of machine learning models and algorithms. Principle Responsibilities: * Develop, communicate, implement and document the overall architecture of solutions * Develop robust processing and ETL pipelines for seamless deployment to multiple cloud providers including Google Cloud using where necessary the Python programming language * Collaborating with the software & analytics team and proposing a range of solutions where appropriate * Generate deployment workflows for different projects in the Software and Analytics team using tools such as Docker, Ansible, Airflow, Kubernetes or Vagrant * Create data architecture, management, transformation and publishing frameworks Person Specification: * Expert knowledge of Python * Candidate with at least 3-4 years’ experience in a solution/system/data architect role * Experience working on multiple projects using different methodologies to deliver projects * A strong technical background with proven track record in successful software development, implementation and deployment * Experience of using cloud systems for data analysis, application deployment and user management (particularly Google Cloud, AWS and VWware) * Experience of automatic provisioning of cloud infrastructure (e.g. Ansible, Terraform or equivalent) * Experience of working with and managing server-side workflow management software (e.g. Airflow). * Expert knowledge in Linux systems * Excellent coding standards, including appropriate formatting, commenting and use of linters in a production environment * Experience working with external APIs * Experience as a scrum master would be advantageous * Excellent team worker with good communication skills (fluent English) * Experience of working and collaborating with a technical development team * Ability to work and appropriately express ideas with non-technical colleagues * Excellent report writing skills, enabling the creation of both detailed technical reports and accessible client facing reports Neaves & Neat Employment Services Ltd. are acting as an Employment Agency for this Permanent vacancy
