This role supports the testing and fault diagnosis of electrical and electronic sub systems and circuit cards throughout the production lifecycle. You will play a key role in supporting manufacturing test capability, ensuring delivery against programme time, cost and quality targets. An HNC in Engineering or equivalent is essential. Key Responsibilities: You will collaborate with a small team of dedicated engineers in a dynamic, yet friendly and inclusive manufacturing environment, where you will be responsible for the following tasks: Provide technical support for manufacturing tests and diagnostics of weapon sub-systems at system and sub-system level. Deliver Test Engineering support from concept through to Production Readiness and operational release. Introduce and configure test facilities, ensuring compliance and producing specifications and operator instructions. Conduct testing and diagnose failures in electrical/electronic systems down to circuit card or component level. Implement corrective actions promptly to maintain production schedules and resolve technical issues. Represent Test Engineering at Defect Review Boards to drive timely resolution of quality notifications. What do you need?: Essential: Minimum HNC level of Engineering qualifications or equivalent. Good understanding of digital and analogue electronic measurement and test principles, and fault diagnosis techniques, with demonstrable experience down to electronic component level. Awareness of electrical/electronic sub-system and system design, integration and test principles. Good verbal and written communication skills, including generation of test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports. Ability to plan and organise one's work according to assigned priorities. Advantageous: Knowledge of RF and Microwave technology at the subsystem level. Experience in operating manual and automated test equipment in an Electronics Manufacturing environment. CADMID product lifecycle for test equipment is desirable. Environmental testing would also be an advantage. High Voltage training/awareness.
