Every hour, two people in the UK are told they have Parkinson's - a brain condition that turns lives upside down, leaving a future full of uncertainty. Parkinson’s UK is an ambitious and dynamic charity, passionate about improving the lives of everyone affected by Parkinson’s.
We continue to work to find a cure, and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson's - and we believe technology is key to that vision. You could play a major part in helping us achieve this.
About the role
We are recruiting for a brand new position of Deputy Chief Information Officer (Deputy CIO) to join the charity. You'll lead an ambitious next stage of development of our technology infrastructure, which will be central to how we deliver our core organisational strategy. We see technology as a key enabler of business transformation and are looking for someone with the vision and technical savvy who can help us achieve this vision. This will encompass innovative supporter and service user relationship management, the development of a technology-enabled workforce and workplace whilst maintaining the highest standards of data management.
You will lead a team of 15 to deliver our current and future business needs. This includes making sure organisational skills and business policies and processes are in place to manage data compliance and managing information security.
Skills, knowledge and experience
To succeed in this role, you will be an ambitious, forward-looking and an inspirational leader respected for your results, expertise and commitment. With the ability to enthuse and promote, you will have a strong track record of developing high-performing teams, and championing adoption of best in class tools and approaches. Whether from the private, public or charity sector, you will bring first-class transformation and delivery credentials from a data-rich, information-led environment.
If the role sounds of interest to you and you want to be part of a charity that is transforming itself through technology, we would be delighted to hear from you!
Parkinson’s UK is committed to ensuring a positive working culture for all of our employees, as well as a good work-life balance.
