Reporting to the Head of Technology, the Principle Architect will manage and lead multiple teams focusing on Enterprise Technology, Solutions Architecture, innovation and automation. Working closely with the Head of Technology and Technical Value Manager to develop and deliver Enterprise strategy, technical standards and solutions to Davies as part of project and M&A delivery. Initially the teams include Solutions Architects, ServiceNow and Service Automation but will expand to include other Enterprise platforms in the future where needed. The Solutions Architect team provide services to support project and product delivery within the business. It is a key stage of the lifecycle, ensuring solutions are designed with best practices in architecture including cloud and security requirements. The ServiceNow and service Automation teams consists of UK and India based developers and automation engineers who focus on automation of operational services across Microsoft, Okta and ServiceNow with a strong focus on ServiceNow as the workflow platform. The role will require collaboration across multiple IT and operations teams including product development, service and technical operations, finance, HR and Marcomms in the delivery of Enterprise solutions and strategy. Key Responsibilities Definition of Enterprise Solutions Architecture standards. Establish strong partnerships with business operations teams to provide support and development of enterprise technical roadmaps. Support the technical project lifecycle in the delivery of cloud and on-premise solutions. Delivery of projects that encompass systems architecture, proof of concept and deployment services. Establish and enforce best practices in solution architecture, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions, encompassing network security, endpoint protection, identity and access management, and data protection. Shape the product delivery and strategic direction of enterprise systems including ServiceNow. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the teams, helping to resolve complex technical challenges, prioritisation of work and unblocking of technical issues. Collaborate with IT leadership and cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, and project management, to achieve required project outcomes. Be a lead participant in architecture and standards forums. Support continuous review and reduction of IT delivery costs. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Proven technical leadership experience leading technical teams in the delivery of enterprise solutions. Proficient in cloud networking, security and architecture. Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate with all levels of people within the business including both technical and non-technical audience. Experience managing third-party suppliers on the delivery of IT services Experience of managing enterprise platform teams in the delivery of business strats. Consistently delivers high-quality outputs, demonstrating strong attention to detail in both content development and visual presentation Strong experience and understanding of IT delivery methods and frameworks including Agile and Scrum methodologies and principles.
