Role: Java Developers Sector: Government / Public Safety Clearance: Active SC + NPPV3 required IR35: Outside - 6 month initial contract L ocation: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite - Solihull) Start: ASAP We are seeking Java and Lead Java Developers with current SC + NPPV3 clearance to support complex engineering, platform integration and live service environments. What you'll be doing Developing new features and integrations across secure biometric and identity platforms Supporting live, mission-critical systems and troubleshooting production issues Building high-quality Java microservices and APIs Contributing to Agile delivery teams focused on reliability, performance and secure coding Core Skills & Experience Java Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Integration, Spring Batch Microservices architecture REST & SOAP Web Services JPA/Hibernate PostgreSQL / Aurora ActiveMQ or similar messaging technologies CI/CD: Maven, Git, Jenkins, SonarQube Docker, Linux AWS (EC2, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, KMS, CloudWatch) Experience supporting live environments Strong Agile mindset (Scrum, TDD, BDD) Nice to Have Angular / Node.js SQL performance tuning BPMN (Activiti) Jaspersoft Spring Cloud Exposure to secure or regulated environments (Gov, Defence, Policing) Why Join RT Consulting?
