         The role of the National IT Technician is to work as part of a wider test team and the operational business. As the NIT Technician you will have responsibility for testing and supporting the in-Store hardware and software (such as Tills and Self-Checkouts, Card Payments, National Lottery, Electronic Gift Cards, etc.), including bug fixes, new features, regression and performance testing. Your New Role Responsibilities that require action from the National IT Technician:     Utilise business requirements for the creation of test scripts and their execution   Raise concise defects and provide testing support required for their resolution  Support with root-cause-analysis into discovered defects and/or errors  Support with the coordination of internal and external testing, with third party vendors and/or IIT developers  Monitor and report testing status  Maintain testing equipment and environments   Develop training materials and other supporting documentation  Support the wider team in any deployment activities, which includes out of hours working    Additional duties and responsibilities:      Ensures deadlines and SLAs are complied with in area of responsibility  Ensures compliance with Aldi policies in their area of responsibility  Maintains appropriate data, backups and logs for data in their area of responsibility  Checks invoices for the area of responsibility following Company procedures  Maintains asset, warranty, repair, license and any other IT controls as required    Please note, due to the nature of the role, you may be required to complete out of hours and weekend working.
