Main Duties: Lead and deploy enterprise level cloud infrastructure solutions to achieve delivery of business objectives Ensure designs and appropriate architecture, in collaboration with development, infrastructure, security, databases and testing Provide technical design input for new and existing solutions and projects Communicate and disambiguate technical requirements when necessary Introduce, monitor and champion quality metrics within the department, e.g., unit test coverage Introduce procedures and automation to improve and measure quality, e.g., continuous integration and build Help identify and quantify risk factors for features and change Deployment of infrastructure via Terraform Database instance management and control, SQL and MongoDB Atlas Deployment of databases and copies of data, e.g., scripting to run and rollback database changes such as modifying tables, new records, etc. via Redgate Tools Deployment of applications via CI/CD Pipelines in Azure DevOps Create and maintain metrics and progress for the other areas (automated wherever possible) Assist with technical proposals Ideal Background: Architectural experience of back-office applications and their design, including extension and expansion through integrations Strong experience with Azure cloud infrastructure services including but not limited to AKS, App Services, Application Gateways, Azure Cognitive Services, Event Grid, Virtual Machines and Networking Strong experience of DevOps environments, scripting and automation (Infrastructure as Code), with skills in Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm Experience of source and version control tools, Azure DevOps Knowledge of SQL Database Automation and Automation Tools, Redgate SQL Suite Knowledge of the design for secure and maintainable web sites and web service applications, in a SOA environment Excellent communication skills Well organised, enthusiastic, and self-motivated This fantastic role comes with a basic salary of £60,000 p/a and is accompanied with the following benefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, company pension, private medical insurance, staff discounted products, long services awards, company sick pay, discounts on gym membership plus many more.
