The Division of Communication, Screen and Performance is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Assistant to join our Technical Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and creative learning environment, supporting a wide range of practical activities across our performing arts and media disciplines. As a key member of the team, you will assist in the delivery of technical support for students and staff working within our studios and specialist facilities. The role involves supporting the use of technical equipment and lighting, as well as preparing materials, equipment and resources required for practical teaching and learning activities. Working closely with colleagues across the Technical Team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional educational setting. In particular, you will work alongside the Equipment Loan Coordinator to help ensure that equipment is maintained, prepared and made available to students. This will include managing the booking in and out of equipment and supporting the efficient operation of our equipment loan service. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical technical skills within a Performing Arts and Media environment, and as such it may be particularly attractive to recent graduates, or to candidates who have some relevant experience and are looking to begin or further develop a technical career.
