Experience in highway engineering, drainage engineering or general development infrastructure design. A good understanding of relevant best practice and guidance. Experience in highway and drainage design using for example Manual for Streets, DMRB, CIRIA SuDS Manual, Sewerage Sector Guidance, and Local Authority design standards is desirable. Numerate and software literate. Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Knowledge of 3D modelling software such as Civils3D or similar, and drainage modelling software such as MicroDrainage or similar would be desirable. To be able to prepare drawings and calculations for both private and adoptable arrangements applying the relevant principles, design codes and standards. Consultancy/private sector development background with a bias towards private sector development work. Effective organisational and communication skills with a collaborative approach and enjoys responsibility. Ideally a full driving licence and access to a car.
