We have an opening for a Civil Infrastructure Engineer with post-graduate experience within a design consultancy to join an expanding multidisciplinary design consultancy with offices throughout the UK. The ideal Engineer will be working toward chartership of ICE/IHE or similar. You will be responsible for preparing, issuing and managing of technical project information, including calculations and drawing information, in accordance with the standard requirements of the Company.This is a great opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join a successful, well-established civil and structural design consultancy based out of our clients Manchester Office. We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior / Principal Engineer to support our clients regional Development Team in Cardiff, focusing on civil engineering for development infrastructure. You will work within a team to lead and produce designs and drawings for construction projects and deliver technical reports for masterplanning and in support of planning applications. Whats on offer Hybrid working Professional memberships paid Cycle to work scheme Regular performance reviews and related bonuses Enhanced company pension The role Day to day project management in the delivery of concept studies and strategies with hands on design, leading to planning applications or construction drawing issue Taking financial responsibility for your projects and being responsible for ensuring your projects are delivered to budget, programme and technical standards Working on varied multi-disciplinary projects and client accounts, liaising with clients at a local and national level Direct line management, including mentoring and managing early career professionals ensuring technical excellence is in everything we deliver Assisting in the preparation of fee proposals, and involvement in business development activities Helping maintain the culture and positive working environment in the team What you need to succeed Preferably a Civil Engineering degree and either be Chartered or approaching Chartered status with experience in highway and highway drainage design Experience in using Civils 3D or PDS (or similar software packages) together with experience in applying Highways England/DMRB and Local Authority design guidance Experience in design of drainage using InfoDrainage and a background in Water Company related work inclusive of the relevant design codes such as Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, DMRB and Local Authority Design Guides, and to be well versed in the preparation of drawings for Contract Documents and requisite technical agreements The ability to work effectively with colleagues including more senior and junior staff in producing designs, drawings and reports is essential. Strong post graduate experience in a civil engineering working environment The ability to produce masterplans, site appraisals, write reports to support planning applications, design calculations and construction drawings A solid engineering foundation and an understanding of highway design and highway drainage principles (layout, etc.) JBRP1_UKTJ
