Working closely with the Managing Director, you'll help grow an established presence across specialist markets including education, care, commercial refurbishment and retail fit-out. Business Development Manager Role Responsibilities: Developing and delivering a business development strategy to support continued growth. Identifying and securing new opportunities across: Education Commercial refurbishment and fit-out Retail conversion and fit-out projects Building relationships with key stakeholders, architects, surveyors, project managers and consultants. Researching upcoming projects and identifying potential opportunities. Monitoring tender portals and framework agreements. Attending networking events, exhibitions and client meetings. Supporting bid submissions with capability statements, presentations and other sales material. Working closely with estimating and operational teams to ensure a seamless handover from enquiry through to project delivery. Managing and maintaining an accurate CRM system and sales pipeline. Producing regular reports on pipeline activity, opportunities and forecasts. Acting as a professional ambassador for the business and building long-term client relationships. Business Development Manager Skills, Experience and Attributes: Essential: Proven business development or sales experience within construction, refurbishment, property or a closely related industry. A successful track record of generating leads and converting opportunities into projects. Excellent commercial awareness. Confident communication and presentation skills. The ability to work independently and proactively. A full UK driving licence. Professional, approachable and credible. Highly organised with excellent time management skills. Results-focused and commercially driven. A confident negotiator who enjoys building lasting relationships. Positive, adaptable and collaborative. Desirable: Experience working with education, healthcare, care providers or local authorities. Knowledge of construction frameworks and tender portals.
