Digital DevOps & Release Manager Location: Tadley, East Leake or Elland (hybrid working) Business: Saint-Gobain Digital & IT At Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland , we're looking for a DevOps & Release Manager to join our Digital & IT function, helping us build, manage and continuously improve the technology and processes that enable our digital platforms across the UK. This is a varied role combining technical DevOps leadership, people management and release management. You'll lead a team of four DevOps Engineers, including colleagues based remotely overseas, while also taking technical responsibility for our DevOps design, CI/CD structure and release processes. You'll play an important role in helping our development teams release changes safely, efficiently and consistently across Saint-Gobain's digital estate. What we're looking for: Degree in Software Engineering (nice to have) Previous experience working as a DevOps Manager, DevOps Lead or Lead Engineer, with experience managing and developing technical teams. Strong experience with GitHub and CI/CD, with a good understanding of continuous integration, continuous delivery and automated testing. A good technical understanding of scripting and configuration, ideally including Bash, Python and YAML, together with experience of cloud technologies. Experience working within Agile environments, supporting developers and teams to improve the way they build, test and release software. A degree-level qualification in Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. What you will be doing: Lead and manage a team of four DevOps Engineers, including an offshore team, providing direction, support and oversight of technical decisions and activities. Take technical ownership for the design and ongoing development of our DevOps and CI/CD environment, ensuring it is scalable, secure and supports efficient software delivery. Coordinate releases across multiple teams and technologies, supporting the Agile Release Train and ensuring changes are appropriately approved before being released into production. Work closely with developers, test managers, IT Operations and project teams, providing support on GitHub, deployment processes and DevOps-related queries. Help Saint-Gobain continuously improve its release processes, governance, automation and deployment standards across platforms including MuleSoft and Salesforce. Manage projects that demonstrate how digital construction can be industrialised and scaled, including opportunities to roll out solutions across multiple projects, businesses and countries. Build the business case for digital construction initiatives, managing budgets and stakeholders while demonstrating how better use of data can improve efficiency, margins and revenue opportunities.
