As the MES Engineer at our Banbury plant, you will lead the management and evolution of our Manufacturing Execution Systems.?Youll plan, implement, and support MES software solutions, collaborating cross-functionally to optimise production efficiency and quality. Key Responsibilities Maintain, support, and upgrade MES systems across the plant. Collaborate with production, process, and automation teams to design robust PLCMES interfaces. Define MES standards/specs to streamline systems and support new lines/products. Manage Engineering Change processes, including labelling and tagging for new part numbers. Monitor batch/sequenced assembly lines, enabling real-time decision-making to minimise scrap and mismatches. Key Skills: Proven experience with MES platforms (e.g., Apriso, InSequence, Nysus, Solidat) Strong knowledge of PLCs, ERP systems, IT infrastructure, hardware, databases, and development languages Expertise in scripting (e.g. SQL), report/dashboard creation, and database query development.
