Bonus Skills (Desirable but not essential) Development of PLC code modules, SCADA scripts, mimics, and comms drivers. Progress reporting and scope management. Peer reviews and documentation development (FDS, DDS, test specs, O&M manuals). Site surveys, installation, testing (CFAT, SAT), and warranty support. Qualifications Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field. Working towards or already an Incorporated Engineer with professional registration. Permanent opportunies working on UK Energy upgrades - Allen Bradley, Rockwell or Siemens experience is required on these PLC Scada projects. Hybrid working from a Belcan office in Cheltenham GL51 or London SW14. Belcan is recruiting at Senior & Engineer level for experienced individuals within Control Systems - Hybrid Permanent roles. Key responsibilities: Carry out full lifecycle activities on brownfield projects, including the creation of user specifications, test procedures, PLC software programming, and on-site testing. Generate and maintain project technical documentation Site commissioning Test systems design, build and document Controlled assurance updates to defined procedures Qualifications, Skills & Experience Essential: Knowledge of HMI & SCADA systems Knowledge of full PLC software design and build lifecycle, including associated international standards. Experience in using one or more control system hardware platforms (such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, ABB). Systems Engineers with MATLAB / SIMULINK Are you an experienced Systems Engineer with a good understanding of control systems, signal processing and model-based design using MATLAB / Simulink. The Belcan team is working on exciting new projects and is looking for Systems Engineers with Matlab and Simulink experience. Based in Glasgow the role can be carried out remotely. These are Contract roles (Inside IR35) with Hybrid or Remote working, you will be part of the Belcan project team engaged on technologically advanced Control systems. Due to winning new projects, we are recruiting Contract Systems Engineers for an initial 12 month contract, who will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing engineering system models in Simulink for Aerospace and Marine applications. They will need a deep understanding of control systems, signal processing, and model-based design. Matlab will be used to generate the code for the Simulink model. The engineer will optimize the models for performance, accuracy, and resource utilization. Create comprehensive documentation for the models, including user guides and technical specifications. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and project managers, and have the ability to liaise and work with Stakeholders to provide services accurately and on time. The role will provide an important element in the Active Control System to be used on a new Submarine platform, a type of hydrostatic / hydro dynamic autopilot. Ideally the successful Systems Engineers will be degree qualified with previous experience in the above Systems, or transferable Systems skills from other Vehicle industries, and a proven track record in Engineering. Senior Embedded Software Engineer Milton Keynes Onsite Working Permanent position Are you a Software Engineer looking to accelerate your career? Integrating and validating new product designs is an important part of the role and you will be expected to interface with design and development engineers.
