You'll be part of a small, agile team responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of IT systems within industrial assets. This includes software and hardware configuration, network management, cyber security, and proactive maintenance across the plant. We are recruiting for experienced Systems Engineers with a good understanding of control systems, signal processing and model-based design using MATLAB / Simulink. Belcan is recruiting on an Inside IR35 contract with Hybrid & Remote working options - initially 12 months. Trips to our customers site in the North West once a month for a day or two depending on your location in the UK. You will be part of the Belcan project team responsible for developing, testing, and optimising engineering system models in Simulink for Aerospace and Marine applications. You will need a deep understanding of control systems, signal processing, and model-based design. Matlab will be used to generate the code for the Simulink model. You will optimise the models for performance, accuracy, and resource utilization. Create comprehensive documentation for the models, including user guides and technical specifications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and project managers, and have the ability to liaise and work with Stakeholders to provide services accurately and on time. The role will provide an important element in the Active Control System to be used on a new Submarine platform, a type of hydrostatic / hydro dynamic autopilot.
