We are recruiting for a brand new housing team to support our care leavers moving into our in-house supported accommodation provision. The central Maidenhead location, which has been recently been refurbished to a high specification, will accommodation 20 care leavers requiring step down provision before they move on into their more permanent housing. We will be operational from October 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an expanding service that is already well established in Kingston. We have a number of vacancies available for housing professionals who would like to join Achieving for Children and be part of this new team in Maidenhead providing a supportive environment that empowers our care leavers to reach their potential and prepare them for more independent living. Estimated Interview date/s: 27/07/2026 to 31/07/2026 About the role In this role you will empower young people to develop essential independent living skills for their future accommodation through personalised 1-1 coaching and structured worktop programmes. You will actively engage with residents, offering support that is flexible in both scheduling, including evenings, weekends and location, whether at home or in the community. This role focuses on assessing individual needs, tracking progress and ensuring young people are well-prepared for their transition out of accomodation. Key responsibilities will include: Identify knowledge and skill gaps in young people upon arrival and provide targeted 1-1 coaching to support their development. Develop and facilitate engaging workshop programmes within the accommodation to teach independent living skills. Assess, record, and evaluate the progress of young people, identifying further support options and making referrals when necessary. Collaborate closely with the HOST housing team and leaving care team. Identify and address specific support needs, such as financial management, education, training, and cooking, to foster independence and motivation. Work flexibly and independently to design and facilitate engaging workshops that equip young people with essential independent living skills, while effectively managing tenancies and fostering collaborative relationships across the organisation and with external partners. Provide effective tenancy management support while applying a deep understanding of independent living requirements. Collaborate proactively with internal teams and external professionals to champion the needs of families and young people. Identify, document and report all safeguarding concerns in strict adherence to organisational procedures. Demonstrate versatility through strong organisational, problem-solving and digital tool proficiency, including a commitment to Achieving for Children's values. As part of the National Workforce Programme funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, Homeless Link are creating a new digital homelessness workforce hub. The Hub will provide access to workforce data, learning pathways, qualifications and resources to support recruitment and retention in the Homelessness Sector. Our goal is to make working in homelessness an attractive career choice and achieve a highly skilled, professional, valued and stable workforce. To support this work, we are looking to appoint a manager for the hub, to lead the end-to-end delivery of this Salesforce experience site. This will include the initial design, building, launch and continuous improvement of the hub. The post holder will be a member of the Data Systems Team but they will work closely with colleagues across Homeless Link and with our target audiences and other stakeholders. This role bridges the gap between digital strategy, technical configuration, and user experience. The successful candidate will have experience of managing a database, website or online community, and building successful stakeholder relationships, along with a track record of end to end delivery of larger projects.
