About the role We are seeking an experienced Acquisition and Interlibrary Loan Officer to join our Libraries and Student Support team. If you are a skilled and solutions driven library professional with a passion for resource provision and process administration, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to help ensure comprehensive and efficient resource acquisitions management. Acquisitions and ordering management: Create and manage orders via the library management system and elsewhere, and advise Librarians on purchasing options and sourcing materials. Supplier and resource management: Maintain supplier relationships, resolve issues, and ensure value for money. Handle supplier correspondence, including returns. Ensure access to resources. Interlibrary loan and user support: Deliver the interlibrary loan service and manage its system and budget. Source materials globally and liaise with users on availability and conditions. Financial and budget administration: Administer budgets, process payments, liaise with Finance. Monitor expenditure and ensure compliance with financial procedures. Systems, data and reporting: Maintain accurate records in the Library Management System. Produce acquisitions and financial reports. Manage catalogue records, and support system improvements. You will engage with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that the library continues to meet the evolving needs of the academic community.
