The position RES currently provides High Voltage Operations and Maintenance (HV O&M) Services to renewable energy assets in the UK & Ireland. Due to increased demand from our clients, we are seeking an HV Senior Authorised Person (33kV) to grow and improve this service. The SAP is a site-based role performing Operation & Maintenance duties on utility-scale solar/wind and battery storage sites and home/office working for other duties. Candidate must currently hold, or have recently held, 11-33kV SAP status. Experience operating and maintaining utility-scale renewable sites/equipment or DNO assets, would be desirable. You will need to be located near/travel to operational plants and have a full driving licence. This is a permanent role and will require availability for weekend and on-call duties, including overnight callouts. Accountabilities The responsibilities of the HVSAP's include: Always adherence to health and safety requirements and help to maintain and improve safety standards Achieve and maintain Senior Authorised Person status. Carry out basic protection testing on HV related equipment. Complex protection relay testing is desirable. Undertaking troubleshooting and fault-finding on RES controlled plant/equipment. Carrying out inductions for sub-contractors and deliver Competent Person Training. Induct and manage in-house staff and sub-contractors, ensure their safe working, and undertake quality checks on their work. Keeping in close communication with the O&M office Liaising with external stakeholders such as DNO and asset owner Reacting to emergencies, site outages and changing circumstances Occasionally working away from home for training courses or to cover RES controlled sites in other geographical areas where required.
