Overview This role suits an experienced engineer with a strong technical background, able to lead a small indirect team to successfully complete large projects independently and to technically lead multiple small projects. Responsibilities Plan engineering tasks, manage internal functions, and generate engineering management plans. Engage with customers to ensure solutions meet their expectations and communicate those expectations internally. Plan and present engineering design gate reviews, engaging with internal functions such as airworthiness and safety to ensure delivery milestones are met. Manage technical risks and opportunities. Manage engineering change to ensure system integrity throughout the lifecycle, maintaining traceability of all key design decisions. Provide support and guidance in all areas of the product lifecycle. Liaise with engineering leadership and programme management teams to ensure adequate resourcing and identify potential capability shortfalls. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in an engineering role with a strong technical background. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with customers and internal stakeholders. Self motivated and proactive, using technical skills and teamwork to resolve issues. Experience of engineering lifecycle and design reviews. Experience in technical report writing. Comfortable presenting technical content at all levels across the business. Indirect or direct management experience. Previous engineering sign off for documents (not a requirement).
