PCB Assembly Technician Greenwich, SE10 Ongoing long-term contract Monday - Thursday (42 hours p/w) or Friday - Sunday (33 hours p/w) (Days & Night shifts) £10.20 - £11.22 or an increased rate for Weekend shifts The PCB Assembly Technician role is working in a busy manufacturing and production area, for a large engineering company in telecommunications. Full training will be provided for the PCB Assembly Technician position, and the ideal candidate requires an interest in electronics and a practical, hands on position. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for: Undertaking assembly processes, ensuring all ESD product disciplines are adhered to and products are correctly built and tested, Following Engineering drawings to assemble the mechanical racking systems, sub assembly and wiring of all connections, Building, assembling and installation of modules that make up the suites, Rack wiring completed for all the panels connecting to each other as per drawing, Assembling different power supply units and installation of cubicles, Working on control panels, including complete wiring on the panels using crimp tools, Component & D-type connector soldering, Electrical/Prototype Wiring, PCB Building. The role is working within a team of Technical Assembly Operators, Support Engineers and Team Leaders you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate building, testing and inspection of built articles. You will also be responsible for the manufacture of high-quality products for external customers. HOURS OF WORK The successful PCB Assembly Technician will be required to work shifts of both Days & Nights, on a 2-week rotation. Please note that the initial 3-week training period will be on a Monday - Thursday basis. Days (x2 weeks) Monday - Thursday 6am - 5.15pm Nights (x2 weeks) Monday - Thursday 6pm - 5.15am Or Days (x2 weeks) Friday - Sunday 6am - 5.45pm Nights (x2 weeks) Friday - Sunday 6pm - 5.45am Benefits include holiday pay, gym facilities, pension scheme, free parking, full training, and the opportunity to work within high tech and interesting surroundings. Full training will be provided for this role, candidates who are interested will be invited to an assessment day to go through a Maths and English assessment and an instruction-based manufacturing test. About the Role The Technical Analyst will be responsible for investigating and analysing technical need, defining objectives and technical/data requirements, supporting design, build, and test stages on projects. They will help to document and maintain the enterprise architecture details and data mappings, and departmental technical roadmaps.
