Software Installation Engineer Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (DoE) Benefits: Company car or car allowance (your choice), travel and overnight expenses covered, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, £25 nightly bonus , company pension scheme, training and career development Location: Field-based with travel across the UK (hybrid office work when not on-site) Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (flexibility required for travel) About the Role We are seeking a skilled and proactive Installation Engineer to join our team, working with our Pyramid Dealer Management System (DMS). Pyramid DMS is a comprehensive business management solution covering:- Accounts & Administration Stock Control Order Processing Workshop Management Vehicle Sales & CRM eCommerce Integration Clover Payment Terminals Integration Our customers operate across the Motorcycle, Agricultural, Caravan, and Groundcare industries, so this is a varied and exciting role with opportunities to work across multiple sectors. As an Installation Engineer, you'll be responsible for installing, configuring, and training customers on Pyramid DMS at their sites, ensuring a smooth setup and handover. When you're not in the field, you'll work with our Support Desk team, helping customers remotely and gaining deeper product knowledge. Key Responsibilities Install and configure Pyramid DMS at customer sites across the UK Deliver customer training sessions across system modules (Accounts, Stock, Workshop, Sales & CRM) Import and validate customer data during system implementation Provide on-site technical support during and after go-live Work with the Support Desk team when not in the field, providing remote assistance to customers Collaborate with the wider support team to ensure smooth customer handover post-installation Travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays (expenses covered) Maintain excellent customer relationships and represent the company professionally at all times Skills & Experience Previous experience in a software installation, implementation, or technical support role Strong technical skills, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experience with MySQL database manipliation would be advantageous Experience with ERP, stock control systems, or POS equipment highly desirable Accounting knowledge/experience would be advantageous Excellent communication and training delivery skills Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently on-site or in the office Full UK driving licence (essential) Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight when required Training & Development You don't need prior experience with Pyramid DMS - full training will be provided. This includes shadowing an experienced True Track engineer in the field, ensuring you gain hands-on knowledge before taking on installations independently. You'll continue to be supported with mentoring and professional development throughout your career.
