We are recruiting for someone who specialises in creating and managing OSD (Operating System Deployment) task sequences using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). The role involves designing, testing, and deploying Windows builds across the enterprise environment, ensuring devices are secure, standardized, and optimized with the required applications and configurations. Please note for this role our client requires current SC only candidates who are British Nationals. Overview As an MECM OSD (Operating System Deployment) Specialist, the candidate will design, build, and manage automated deployment solutions for Windows operating systems across enterprise environments. The role ensures end-user devices are delivered quickly, securely, and with consistent configurations, reducing setup time and supporting business productivity. Key Responsibilities OSD Build Creation & Management Develop and maintain task sequences in MECM for automated Windows deployment. Create and update custom WIM (Windows Imaging) files with drivers, patches, and configurations. Standardize builds across laptops, desktops, and virtual machines. Application & Driver Integration Package and integrate business-critical applications into builds. Manage driver packages for multiple hardware models (Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc.). Ensure compatibility with BIOS/UEFI, TPM, BitLocker, and Secure Boot. Testing & Quality Assurance Validate OSD builds in test environments before production release. Troubleshoot task sequence failures, driver issues, and software conflicts. Document build processes and maintain change logs. Patch & Security Compliance Integrate monthly Windows updates into OSD images. Apply security baselines and group policies for compliance. Coordinate with InfoSec to harden images against vulnerabilities. Leverage PowerShell Scripting to streamline deployment tasks. Automate repetitive steps like application installs, registry tweaks, and system configurations. Provide documentation and training for troubleshooting OSD deployments. Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams for hybrid device management (Intune/Autopilot). This role is delivery-focused and hands-on, supporting one or more projects at a time, while contributing to the growth and maturity of the ACM practice through the creation of assets, consistent ways of working and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Change Delivery & Execution Deliver end-to-end change management activities for assigned projects, aligned to Computacenter's ACM framework, ensuring adoption is planned alongside technical delivery. Produce and maintain core change artefacts including: Change impact assessments Stakeholder analyses and engagement plans Communications plans (in collaboration with Communications Managers where applicable) Training and readiness plans Stakeholder & Business Engagement Engage directly with business stakeholders, operational teams and end users to understand impacts, readiness and concerns. Governance, Reporting & Assurance Provide regular, structured updates on change progress, risks and outcomes to Project Managers and senior change leads. Ensure change deliverables meet quality standards and support audit, assurance and governance requirements, particularly in regulated environments. Practice & Capability Contribution Contribute to the ongoing development of Computacenter's internal ACM capability by: Reusing and improving templates, tools and playbooks Feeding back practical delivery insights to improve the framework Supporting internal communities of practice or knowledge-sharing sessions Act as a role model for consistent, professional change delivery aligned to Computacenter standards. Required Skills & Experience: Essential Demonstrable experience delivering business change or adoption activity within technology, digital or organisational change programmes. Practical experience producing and executing change plans, impact assessments and stakeholder engagement activities. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work confidently with operational teams, managers and delivery colleagues. Understanding of how change management integrates with project and programme delivery (Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid). Desirable Experience working in regulated environments with complex stakeholder landscapes. Formal training or certification in Change Management (eg Prosci, APMG) or Project Management.
