They act as the bridge between IT and business units, managing vendor relationships, service performance, and compliance with industry standards, while driving continuous improvement and alignment with strategic objectives in a highly regulated and safety-critical environment They will: Manage delivery from the key vendor companies that provide IT support ensuring contractual obligations are met and services are aligned with business needs and compliance standards. Oversee the delivery and performance of IT services ensuring systems are consistently available and meet SLAs. Collaborate with business units to understand operational priorities and translate business requirements into service delivery plans that support strategic goals. Collaborate with the Cyber Security Manager to monitor and mitigate the IT derived risks for the organisation. Geographical Span:Company Assets - UKCS Travel Required:Occasional as required Manage the IT service contracts, conducting regular service reviews and performance assessments, escalating and resolving service issues with third-party support teams. Engage with business units to understand operational priorities and pain points, translating business needs into service improvement initiatives. Support digital transformation and automation projects through an IT PMO aligned to the company's Business Improvement Team process. Produce regular dashboards and reports on service KPIs and SLAs, using these to identify trends and areas for improvement using performance data. Professional/Educational Requirements Degree qualified in a relevant IT field Proven experience in IT Service Delivery in an energy related organisation. Strong understanding of Oil & Gas environments. Strong contract management skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to emerging threats Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of transitions for new or changed IT services, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations during service introduction or change. Engage with business units, project teams, and service owners to align transition activities with operational needs, providing clear and timely communication to stakeholders throughout the transition lifecycle. Conduct thorough assessments of risks, dependencies, and impacts associated with service transitions, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure successful outcomes. SYSTEMS ENGINEER Our client, a Major Oil and Gas Operator in Aberdeen is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer. This is a 12 month PAYE contract role. Purpose of Role: The primary purpose of this position is to provide discipline engineering support to UK operations to ensure equipment integrity and regularity. This role supports breakdowns, delivers the maintenance plan in accordance with maintenance strategy and supports plant optimisation Critical Responsibilities: Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and HSES Procedures Responsible for defining equipment/system performance standards and specifications of new equipment Responsible for monitoring equipment/system performance initiating and ensuring corrective actions. Responsible for discipline engineering and maintenance support to UK operations Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence: Provide discipline support to operated assets and project teams Deliver maintenance plans/programs to ensure cost effective operation and asset integrity throughout facility lifetime Fully adhere to planning processes to ensure 'right first time' delivery of systems workscopes Responsible to provide budget input/scope for maintenance and modifications Responsible for continuously challenging technical solutions, engineering performance and cost of modification projects Review vendor workpacks to ensure compliance with performance standard requirements Coordinate & robustly manage vendors to successfully deliver planned maintenance Collaborate with key vendors to collectively problem solve/deliver complex scope Raise TWMs where complex technical solutions and modifications are required Provide an optimised preventive maintenance program, including detailed work packages Responsible for equipment performance including spare part management and warranty follow up Own management of change for non like-for-like systems scopes Mobilise offshore as and when required by business. ER Allowance - The postholder may be required to join the emergency response rota should this become a requirement of the position. Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.: Educated to engineering degree level or satisfactory equivalent e.g. HND/HNC plus preferable qualifications/experience and/or vocational certificates Membership of professional body working towards Chartership preferred Operational and engineering experience preferred Developing relevant technical experience. Offshore experience Understanding of processes required to meet HSE objectives. Fully conversant with UK regulatory environment
