Our client a leading IT company based in Peterborough is looking to recruit a Junior Software Developer on a fulltime permanent basis the role is to be an active member of an Agile development team building and maintaining a suite of business integration solutions. You will be part of a large team of developers and you will work on projects through to completion. Our clients core applications are Windows based client / server applications that are built upon the Microsoft .NET Framework using C#. The servers compromise of one or more Windows System Services and utilise a Microsoft SQL Server database. The client applications are Windows Form based Working knowledge Object orientated software development in .NET or Java Relational database models and T-SQL HTML / JavaScript / CSS Microsoft Windows Forms Microsoft ASP.NET / MVC Understanding of computer networks and associated protocols Creating small scale applications using object orientated development techniques. Developing applications within an Agile process Creating web based applications. To be considered for this position you will; have a minimum of 6 months relevant experience and a Degree in an IT related field. Our client a leading IT company based in Peterborough is looking to recruit a Software Developer/Senior Software Developer on a fulltime permanent You will be part of the Agile development team building and maintaining a suite of business integration solutions. Job Role:- Full stack development of .NET based software: • Code implemented using Microsoft C#, Typescript or JavaScript • Data layers using Microsoft SQL Server (queries, table design, tuning etc) • User interface design (HTML/CSS or WinForms) Deliver software solution as a member of an Agile development team: • Take an active role in meetings held as part of a development sprint (daily stand ups, sprint planning, demos to stakeholders) • Contribute to the software design process through design meetings / discussions and when required design documentation. Testing of software: • Peer reviewing through testing and code reviews the work of other member of the team. • Perform system testing as part of preparing software for a release. Investigate, analyse, resolve and record product defects. Working Knowledge • Object orientated software development in .NET or Java • Relational database models and T-SQL • HTML / JavaScript / CSS • Microsoft Windows Forms • Microsoft ASP.NET / MVC • JavaScript frameworks, ideally Angular • Understanding of computer networks and associated protocols • Creating small scale applications using object orientated development techniques. • Developing applications within an Agile process • Creating web based applications.
