Data Services Manager, Must live within 2 hours of London and be able to come in for ad-hoc meetings when required. Primarily home based though. Role 90% management and 10% technical and you will manage a team of 6. Salary £80000 - 85000 + good benefits. Expanding financial services client are looking for a Data Services Manager to join their team. The role will suit a candidate who has been a manager for a couple of years and is looking to further develop their management career. Guiding a team of 6 you will be responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the data function, with a focus on leading and mentoring data engineers to deliver high quality, scaleable data solutions. Working across the business with multiple stakeholders you will design and continually improve data solutions A critical aspect of this role is Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Management practices, ensuring the business meet regulatory obligations and manage risk. Accountabilities include - Technical leadership - provide technical leadership for the high performing data engineering and BI function. Team leadership - manage the team and act as deputy to the Senior Data Services Manager. Delivery of Solutions Data Governance and Data Quality Agile Delivery Risk and compliance Technical debt management Experience required - Strong experience as a hands-on data engineer Worked you way into a lead data role and then into a management Very strong technical skills that will include - SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SAS - Power BI, Power Platform - Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks A good understanding of dimensional modelling techniques, including Kimball's Business Development Lifecycle Ability to design hybrid data solutions across on-prem and cloud data sources Expert with data engineering tools and automation techniques This is a great chance to join an expanding business in a key role.
