Benefits 50 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures) Generous Occupational Pension Scheme About the role We are seeking an exceptional quality leader to provide the role of Quality, Compliance and Qualification Development Lead at York College. This pivotal position leads the quality assurance and improvement of the qualifications delivered across the College. Working closely with curriculum teams, the Lead guides the College's approach to qualification development and reform, supports approval of new programmes, shapes high quality assessment strategies, and ensures assessment excellence. They will drive a culture of continuous improvement, using insight and collaboration to secure compliance across all areas. This role influences the future curriculum, ensuring students and apprentices benefit from high quality, industry relevant qualifications. Qualifications Significant experience in quality assurance, compliance and collaboration with awarding organisations. Strong understanding of qualification frameworks and assessment practices. Experience supporting or leading curriculum development, including new qualification approval and implementation. Ability to analyse data and performance trends to drive improvement and impact outcomes. Collaborative and influential leadership style, capable of challenging and supporting colleagues at all levels. Experience leading teams and working across organisations to deliver strategic priorities. Ideally holds a degree (or equivalent) and a teaching or quality related qualification, alongside experience in assessment and verification. Above all, passionate about improving the learner experience, confident in leading change, innovation and excellence in education. About the College York College & University Centre is the largest further education college in the region, offering a comprehensive range of courses from Entry Level to degree level.
