Location: Oxford Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day IT support to staff and users across hardware, software, and network-related issues Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals Support and maintain Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and core business applications Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to networks, connectivity, printers, and user accounts Assist with IT projects, including system upgrades, device rollouts, and infrastructure improvements Monitor and manage support tickets, ensuring issues are resolved within agreed timescales Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset registers, and user guides in line with best practice Key Requirements Previous experience working in an IT support or IT Technician role Good working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking principles Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and user-related issues Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional approach Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple support requests effectively A proactive, hands-on attitude with strong problem-solving skills Relevant IT qualifications or certifications (desirable but not essential) Benefits Competitive salary package Generous holiday allowance Pension scheme Opportunities for training and professional development Supportive and collaborative working environment Long-term career progression opportunities How to Apply If you are interested in this opportunity and feel you have the skills and experience required, please apply with your CV today. The purpose of the role is to provide remote and onsite IT support, plus to assist with IT project implementations. Provide technical guidance and be a point of technical escalation when required to ensure high levels service are delivered and maintained. Work closely with Sales Account Managers and clients to develop proposals that are technically ratified. Assist with IT project implementations, from planning and design through to completion. Assist with providing IT support services to clients. Assist with managing company internal IT systems and IT projects. Skills and Experience A passion for a wide range of enterprise grade infrastructure technology is essential (networking, server and endpoint, cloud, security). A minimum of five years' experience in a similar IT role. Experience of working with and supporting a range of information technologies, the following preferred: - Microsoft technologies: 365, Azure, Windows, AD, Server and Exchange - Networks: network switches, wireless networks, routers, cabling infrastructure - Cyber security: firewalls, web filters, advanced protection and recovery - Cloud technologies - VMware / HyperV - Back-up solutions: Veeam, cloud backup Desirable qualifications: - Cisco CCNA - VMware VCP - Microsoft Certified - e.g. Azure, 365, Security - Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) About You You will be a technology enthusiast who is good with people and enjoy solving problems. You will be able to work both under direction and on your own initiative, prioritising jobs as required. You will be an approachable and supportive team player, providing technical guidance and help as required. You will be keen to learn and gain experience with new technologies and their use in an education environment. This role requires regular working at client sites.
