About the Role The Role Our Software Engineers, regardless of the stack, are responsible for the full software development lifecycle; writing well designed, testable and maintainable efficient code. Our engineering team consists of 11, made up of software engineers, QA and DevOps. As an improving and creative .NET developer, you will be part of a team that is responsible for building Preservica's Microsoft integration capabilities starting with a truly ground-breaking integration with Microsoft 365. At Preservica it's not just about writing code-it's about working with a team to deliver value to our ever-expanding customer base. This will be a hybrid / remote role working mostly from home with scheduled 1-2 monthly office days in our Abingdon office. Requirements What we'd like to see: We are flexible with requirements and are not expecting you to tick every box, but we would like to see some of the following: Solid engineering experience including some of the following: Degree level education in an engineering/software/system related subject or equivalent through relevant training and/or experience. 2+ years of experience in .NET software product development Experience with Azure-based cloud native development (App Services, SQL Server, Azure functions, Service Bus) Sound coding skills with .NET 9, C#, Typescript, React.js Understanding of event-based architectures Well-developed skills in object-oriented design and SOLID principles Good knowledge of unit testing using XUnit.net, Moq or similar tools Familiar with user story driven development in an Agile environment (scrum, Kanban) Familiarity with common Agile development practices. About the Role The role: Working on Preserve365, our revolutionary Microsoft 365 Active Digital Preservation solution, you will be key in supporting the technical direction of the automation framework and the overall efforts & output of the P365 QA team. Operating within an Agile / Kanban environment, you will also be responsible for evaluating and writing feature files/step definitions, reviewing existing test cases for automation, and playing a key part in the ongoing maturity of Preservica's Quality Assurance function, which will include evaluating Playwright for future use. This Quality Assurance Engineer role offers hybrid working , with flexibility to work from home and 1-2 monthly office days. Key Responsibilities Enhance and maintain our test automation framework using C# and Playwright (transitioning from Selenium). Write clean, maintainable test scripts using Gherkin syntax and ReqNRoll. Participate in Agile ceremonies, story reviews, and provide early feedback on testability and quality. Expand test coverage across regression and feature test suites. Perform exploratory testing during feature development. Conduct code reviews for test scripts and contribute to internal tooling. Support performance testing using Azure Load Testing, JMeter, or Locust Contribute to backend/API testing and support security testing initiatives.
