Salary: £25,760 - £27,476 per annum pro rata. Job Overview The role is to provide daily administrative support to the Vascular Access and Nutrition Support team. You will act as the first point of contact for the service, manage records, produce reports, maintain databases, handle invoicing, stock levels and scheduling, and undertake any other general administrative tasks required by the clinical teams. Key Duties Maintain and update computer based records for the Vascular Access and Nutrition Support Nursing Teams. Prepare activity and finance reports for the Vascular Access Service and aspects of the Nutrition Support service to enable cross charging. Monitor private patient activity and prepare invoices. Monitor and maintain stock levels of specialist equipment, place orders and follow up receipts. Facilitate payment of invoices received by the department. Schedule forthcoming patient appointments on EPR as requested. Upload clinical results and other relevant information to EPR for endorsement by Nutrition Support Nurses. Undertake other general administrative tasks as required by the clinical teams. Demonstrate a good understanding of data protection and patient confidentiality principles. Communicate effectively with nursing teams and other stakeholders. Handle telephone enquiries from patients, consultants, clerical staff, ward staff, and GPs, passing callers to clinical staff where appropriate. Notify wards of inpatient appointments and arrange transport or nurse escort when necessary. Support the Lead Vascular Access and Nutrition Support Nurses in maintaining Health Roster. Contribute to the administration of study sessions run by the nursing teams. Person Specification High standard of spoken and written English. Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint. Evidence of a positive approach to working in complex environments. Ability to work under pressure. Capability to work with minimal supervision. Experience with databases. Prior NHS experience preferred. Proficient IT skills, with experience in Electronic Patient Record systems preferred.
