Job Title: Senior Solution Architect Location: Ipswich Years of Experience: 15+ Years Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solution Architect to join our dynamic team in Ipswich. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and expertise in Application Architecture, with a proven track record of designing and implementing robust application solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can align technology with business goals and drive innovation within the organization. Responsibilities: Lead the design and architecture of complex application systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Develop and maintain architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices for application development. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance application performance and efficiency. Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Mentor and train junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment of application architecture with business objectives. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the organization. Mandatory Skills: Strong expertise in Application Architecture, including design patterns, frameworks, and methodologies. Proficient in cloud technologies and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Experience with microservices architecture and API design. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders. Preferred Skills: Experience with DevOps practices and tools. Knowledge of data architecture and database design. Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman). Experience in leading architectural initiatives and driving change within an organization. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 15+ years of experience in software development and application architecture. Proven experience in leading architectural design and implementation for large scale applications. Relevant certifications in architecture or cloud technologies are a plus.
