Our client, a reputable Aerospace and Defence company are requiring a Senior Project Planner to join them on an initial 6 month contract. Role to be based in Luton but some remote work also available. Role working Inside IR35, paying up to £370 per day umbrella. A Senior Project Planner is a key member of the IPT (integrated project team) who coordinates and schedules the delivery of the project plan. With our Custom Working policy, you will be able to work under a hybrid structure both from home and our site in Luton, working with teams based across the UK to analyse project performance, working to maintain the schedule and deliver on time. The Senior Project Planner should be an excellent communicator both in person and during periods of remote working. They should be energetic, analytical, persuasive and passionate about planning. What You Will Do Management and accurate maintenance of detailed Project Schedules For the IPT, ensuring timely updates and communication to all IPT members. Working as part of the IPT to identify, interrogate, analyse and control cost and schedule variance, risk and opportunity. Prepare & analyse data required to support the Project Manager in performance measurement reviews (Earned Value, Critical Path). Resource planning and management. Knowledge and involvement in project risk management. Adherence to planning standards and methodology. Our client, a reputable Aerospace and Defence company are requiring a JIRA Specialist to join them on an initial 6 month contract. Role to be based in Bristol but some remote work also available. Role working Inside IR35, rates flexible depending on experience, in the region of £650 per day (umbrella). Duties include: * Design and develop workflows; build custom applications; develop mechanisms to automate manual processes * Provide JIRA subject matter expertise in discussions regarding governance within JIRA, especially as new implications arise in the environment with internal/external users accessing the current and new instance * Business Process Analysis as it relates to workflow configuration, support of ongoing requirements, and environment management * Creating and maintaining technical and/or user facing documentation for training * Work to improve data integrity within JIRA across all product lines to enable both workflow and reporting * Partner with various Product and Engineering team leaders to implement consistent process and usage of JIRA * Develop strong understanding of tools integrated with JIRA (I.E Zendesk, Productboard) * Partner with IT and Security teams to ensure roles, profiles, permissions, and provisioning are streamlined and built for scale * Partner with Data Engineering and Business Intelligence team for system integration, warehousing and intelligence needs * Identify, document and formalize preventative maintenance processes and procedures for the OpenGov Jira platform Skills, qualifications & knowledge Qualifications and Experience: * 2-5 years' experience as JIRA Administrator * Experience customizing JIRA projects with various schemas, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes * Able to translate business needs to JIRA projects * Experience with agile principles and project management methodologies * Organized and can manage multiple projects that meet the needs of multiple stakeholders within the organization * Crisp written communication and verbal communication skills * BA/BSc degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science or other related field preferred * Experience with Java and HTML is a plus SC Clearance is required for this position but the role can be started on a BPSS check so suitable candidate just needs to be eligible for SC.
