Software Test Engineer An established UK-based engineering and technology organisation is looking to recruit a Software Test Engineer to support the build and testing of software used across its products and services. This role would suit a Software Test Engineer with a solid technical background who enjoys working closely with development teams in a practical, hands-on environment. The Role As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for building and testing software, producing test documentation, and supporting software integration activities. The Software Test Engineer will work closely with engineers, customers and collaborators to ensure software is delivered to a high standard. Key responsibilities include: Building and testing software to support products and services as a Software Test Engineer Producing and maintaining software build and software test specifications Acting as a technical point of contact on software-related matters Supporting and improving the testability of software Assisting with software integration activities across the development lifecycle Undertaking additional project tasks as required The Software Test Engineer role will occasionally involve travel within the UK and overseas, including visits on board ships. Essential Requirements Technical or engineering background Good communication skills, both written and verbal Good PC skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Good understanding of the software engineering lifecycle, particularly test and integration Knowledge of scripting or programming languages to support automated builds and testing Willingness to travel occasionally in the UK and abroad Experience Required At least 1 year s practical experience testing software on Windows-based PCs Experience writing test plans, test specifications and test reports Experience building software and software installers is desirable Previous experience in a similar Software Test Engineer role within a technical or engineering environment is preferred Qualifications Engineering degree with a strong software content, or equivalent qualification Lower qualifications will be considered where supported by relevant hands-on experience Personal Characteristics Strong team player with a collaborative approach

Senior Systems Engineer A UK-based engineering and technology organisation is looking to recruit a Senior Systems Engineer to work across complex engineering products and customer-facing programmes. This role offers involvement across the full systems lifecycle, from concept through to delivery and in-service support. The Role As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will work on systems design, integration and test activities across multiple projects. The Senior Systems Engineer will collaborate with software, mechanical and electrical teams, while also supporting and mentoring junior engineers. Key responsibilities include: Systems design, integration and test as a Senior Systems Engineer Working across the full product and systems lifecycle Producing clear technical documentation, specifications and reports Supporting junior engineers through mentoring and technical guidance Engaging with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders Contributing across multiple projects as requirements change The Senior Systems Engineer role is based in Enfield and will involve some business travel depending on project needs. Essential Requirements Degree qualified in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics, or equivalent experience Experience in systems engineering, integration and test Broad understanding of software, mechanical and electrical disciplines Strong communication skills with a high standard of written English Willingness to travel for business requirements Full UK driving licence Eligible to apply for UK Security Clearance Desirable Experience Exposure to radar or radio-based systems Experience across the full product lifecycle Knowledge of external testing and verification standards Experience with communications protocols such as TCP/IP, RS232 or CANBus Background in defence, maritime or safety-critical environments
