This role is fully onsite and pays 55-65k per year Purpose of the role: The Applications Technologist advances both existing and new applications of our equipment to solve customer problems and accelerate adoption. The role spans research and literature reviews; managing and performing on-site practical studies with partners worldwide; and running computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to optimize system performance. It also carries a commercial remit: disseminating technical and commercial insights, helping to prioritize where we invest time and resources, and identifying new application opportunities and market segments that will create the greatest customer and business impact. Key responsibilities include: Develop and refine applications for UV equipment across a range of use cases Conduct research and literature reviews to inform application development. Perform CFD simulations using ANSYS to evaluate and optimize system performance. Lead and execute practical on-site studies in collaboration with global partners. Collect, analyze, and present data from trials and modelling activities. Develop tools and guidance to support product sizing and specification. Identify emerging application opportunities and contribute to investment prioritization. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-focused language. Support the creation of technical and commercial materials for both internal and external audiences. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, commercial, and product teams to deliver integrated solutions. Candidate requirements: Degree or PhD in engineering, physics, or related field. Experience with computer-based modelling (CFD, MATLAB, Python). Skilled in research and literature review, combining public and internal data. Excellent with data: analysis, interpretation, and clear presentation of results. Product management exposure with commercial awareness. Strong communicator; can simplify complex technology for any audience. Ability to manage and perform practical on-site studies. Collaborative and customer-focused mindset. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate 1st/2nd line support experience and the role - due to start in January - can be described as follows: Role Summary/Description: Onsite Support handles all IT hardware devices and support all IT services my clients location. The scope of work includes Maintaining, Analysing, Troubleshooting, installing computer hardware, software, network, video conference rooms and provide hands and feet support for global IT teams. The most common roles of OSS in Normal Secure are mentioned below: Work on Incidents, Service Requests & Assist VIP Support and global IT teams with problems, Onboardings- and Off-Boarding Activities, Remote Support Coordination, Inventory Management.
