RETAIL - BUSINESS INFORMATION ANALYST Our client, based in North London are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join their retail department. You will have gained a similar background and have knowledge of the retail and E-commerce which is essential. JOB PURPOSE: To deliver hands-on business analytics working directly with retail process owners and stakeholders, as well as project and technical managers to ensure alignment of technology solutions with strategic roadmaps. The role requires excellent Business-Partner Relationship Management skills, as well as a good understanding of application infrastructure and system integrations. The role is expected to develop a deep understanding of the current business analytics, processes and practices used within the various retail department and the desire to report a single version of the truth internally and across the whole organisation. To plan, implement & improve analytics, systems, processes, and behavior across the whole of retail. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and maintain dashboards using data across multiple systems to produce quick, accurate reporting & analysis Provide analysis to all relevant commercial and operational teams within retail to track performance against agreed targets, identifying and interpret trends Provide other ad hoc analysis and exec reporting for the Head of Retail and wider management team Collaborate with technical resources and provide input to technical design specifications Drive and support relevant technology developments across key areas of the retail BU Requirements Gathering, Process Mapping, Gap Analysis, Impact Analysis, Business Process Transformation, and Change Management are all critical parts of this role Lead on research, analysis, requirements elicitation and process modelling, leading to recommendations on business efficiencies and performance improvements Analyse market research and customer feedback, identifying and interpreting trends Liaise with all relevant departments including Marketing, VA, Finance, Solutions Partnerships & Data Protection Training new and current staff on relevant processes and procedures PERSON SPECIFICATION Thinks ahead, generates ideas Values & respects others, builds relationships, collaborates Gets things done, delivers to high standards, takes responsibility Strong analytical skills and acute attention to detail Comfortable working in a changing and demanding environment An aptitude for systems, processes, insight and analysis Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Creative, energetic and target driven Quick learner Can work under own initiative but is a supportive team member SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Experienced user of BI tools to deliver Business Intelligence such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, looker systems Advanced Excel user including Pivot tables, Macros, Graphs to provide business reporting Experience of user training Finance background desirable The ability to develop sales strategies and new business through targeted data collection, analysis and interpretation Experience of strategic prospecting Presentation-writing skills Knowledge of the retail and E-commerce essential
