A small, friendly data driven business in Godalming is looking for a local, talented Data Analyst to join their team. If you enjoy working with data, problem-solving, and helping people make informed decisions, this could be the perfect role for you. You'll be working across a variety of datasets, supporting both operational and commercial teams by producing reports, insights, and outputs that directly shape business decisions. This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of data processes and play a key part in ensuring data accuracy, efficiency, and quality. You'll need solid SQL Server skills, good Excel knowledge, and a sharp eye for detail. The ideal candidate is proactive, organised, and confident working both independently and collaboratively. They offer a hybrid setup, with 3 days in the office. You'll join a close-knit, supportive team that values initiative, open communication, and continuous improvement. What You'll Do Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, clean, and combine data. Create reports, dashboards, and data outputs to support decision-making. Maintain data quality through validation, cleansing, and enrichment. Work closely with internal teams and clients to understand and deliver requirements. Ensure all data handling complies with GDPR and internal policies. What You'll Bring Strong SQL Server (T-SQL) experience. Good working knowledge of Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups). Clear communication and documentation skills. Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines in a hybrid environment. Understanding of data quality, validation, and protection principles. Nice to Have Experience with SSRS or SSIS. Familiarity with PowerShell or other automation tools.
