We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our IT Digital team at the National Trust. You'll be involved in building and maintaining our public-facing website and its supporting applications / APIs. The team meet in Heelis so there is expectation to attend the office regularly. What you'll be doing As the Lead Developer you will architect and implement new features and technologies. Our agile teams are proud of the quality products they produce therefore 'quality is everything' and this is something you must demonstrate. You'll care about the user's experience and ensuring our products are accessible. Collaborating with our UI/UX designer to turn designs into production-ready features. You'll be involved in delivering changes across the full software stack: from front-end Typescript React applications, Java/Spring microservices, a range of databases, AWS cloud infrastructure and services. Assisting with the maintenance of our CI/CD pipelines built upon Jenkins / GitOps / Kubernetes, you'll also collaborate with our WebOps team to build out new cloud infrastructure or troubleshoot production incidents. You'll actively keep up to date with the latest industry trends and will have the ability and interest to learn new skills as part of the role. You may also be required to support our intranet. Who we're looking for Worked using an Agile Software Delivery approach and have experience of working within a highly collaborative and cross-functional Agile environment. A background in development and maintenance of web-based product solutions with a focus on quality, performance, reliability, scalability, and resiliency. Brings the following Core Technical Experience to the role: Java 11+ enterprise web development, Spring, REST/GraphQL APIs and Microservices plus experienced with modern web frameworks (e.g., React single page apps, Javascript / Typescript) Previous experience of Angular JS v1.4, JQuery would be advantageous. Experienced with Maven, Git and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins). Enthused by Unit, Functional and Integration Testing. Experienced with (or tools similar to) the Atlassian Product suite including Jira, Bitbucket and Confluence Experienced with containerization (Docker / Kubernetes) and database technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Mongo, Postgres).
