Job Title Infrastructure Engineer (Unified Communications) - Epsom or Barbican, London. Hybrid working: 1-2 days a week. Fixed Term Contract until the end of 2026. Full Time, 37.5 hours per week. Overview Nuffield Health is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (Unified Communications) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in the development and delivery of Microsoft 365 based Cloud Services, focusing on Unified Communications and hands on experience with configuring, managing and optimising the CXone platform, routing and IVR management, analytics and reporting. You will also contribute to a wide variety of projects and support initiatives across our IT infrastructure, bringing fault finding and resolution skills to ensure the Unified Communications Infrastructure operates at its peak, delivering secure, stable, and high performance solutions. Responsibilities Play a key part in the development and delivery of Microsoft 365 based Cloud Services, focusing on Unified Communications and the CXone platform, routing, IVR management, analytics and reporting. Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for email, telephony and other Microsoft 365 issues. Manage and troubleshoot Teams Telephony, including Call Queues, Direct Routing and Auto Attendants, utilising Yealink Cloud Services and PolyLens tools. Deploy new solutions based on architectural designs. Maintain and optimise cloud based applications and tools, ensuring seamless integration with on premises components. Resolve faults, conduct system checks, propose improvements and provide ongoing technical support. Support Microsoft Exchange Online (knowledge of Exchange preferred). Work closely with InfoSec to ensure security and resilience of Unified Communication systems. Assist in decommissioning outdated systems and applications. Provide technical support for Operations and Service Desk teams. Create and maintain technical documentation. Deliver training to end users and IT staff on Microsoft Unified Communications tools. Qualifications Proven experience with Microsoft Unified Communications technologies, including Teams Telephony, CXone platform, routing and IVR, analytics and reporting. PowerShell scripting for automation and interaction with MS Graph. Understanding of networking principles and protocols related to Unified Communications. Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements for Unified Communications. Experience with ITIL frameworks and practices. Strong troubleshooting skills for VoIP, SIP and related telephony technologies. Ability to integrate unified communication systems with existing IT infrastructure. Experience with Microsoft Power BI and data analysis tools. Previous healthcare experience is a bonus.
