Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical & Test Engineer to join their team. The role is primarily focused on electrical and functional testing, fault diagnosis, and regulatory compliance with assembly and production support activities undertaken where required. Key duties include; To carry out the electrical assembly of parts, sub- assemblies and products in line with the requirements of engineering drawings. To prepare products for testing, including powering up products and carrying out pre- test safety checks. Undertake electrical panel wiring and control system assembly in accordance with engineering drawings and wiring schedules Carry out mechanical assembly, sub-assemblies and complete units where required Support production builds to ensure products are completed on time, to specification, and to quality standards To follow Company Quality Control procedures i.e. ISO(Apply online only) To test products in line with Company procedures To maintain production in line with the production plan and instructions from the departmental supervisor/planner to ensure that other production departments are supplied with products and parts to maintain their own plan. To carry out, where appropriate, repairs and maintenance to plant and equipment Occasional site work To be considered for this position the successful candidate must have; Proven experience in electrical testing and fault-finding of electromechanical equipment Electrical panel wiring and control system experience Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings Strong understanding of electrical safety and compliance requirements Experience working within a structured production or test environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a high level of attention to detail Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills 18th/19th Edition Absolutely an advantage! Test Engineer - Electronics Competitive salary Global manufacturer offering Long Term Prospects Excellent working environment 37.5 hours per week & flexitime On behalf of a global manufacturing company, based in Rochdale, we are recruiting for a Test Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing and executing test procedures to ensure the quality and functionality of electronic products. This role requires a strong understanding of electronics, testing methodologies and problem solving abilities to ensure products meet performance and regulatory standards. Key duties include; Perform rigorous testing of electronic components and systems including printed circuit board assemblies Identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues with electronic products Record and analysis test data to identify failure and yield trends targeting improvement in right first time metrics Develop and implement test strategies and plans for a wide range of electronic products Design test setups, equipment and fixtures tailored to the products being tested Create and maintain automated and manual test procedures Ensure products meet industry standards, regulatory requirements and internal quality assurance guidelines Document test results, generate reports and communicate findings with relevant teams Collaborate with Engineering and NPI teams to resolve test related issues and improve quality Maintain accurate records of test results, equipment calibration and test procedures Update and maintain technical documentation including test protocols and specifications Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the optimisation of testing methods and tools Keep up to date with advancements in testing technologies and methodologies Support of Avionics Test and Environmental test activities The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience; Continually attain satisfactory compliance with Quality, Safety Security and HSE requirements Degree / HNC or equivalent level in Electrical Engineering or related field Proven experience in electronic testing including both manual and automated test methods Good understanding of electronic components, systems and circuit design Continually attain satisfactory compliance with Quality, Safety, Security and HSE requirements Knowledge and experience of Testing and Diagnosing both AC and DC power products is preferred Good understanding of drawings and schematics Familiarity with testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters and spectrum analysers Experience with testing software, data analysis tools and scripting languages (eg Python, LabVIEW) Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills In return for the above our client can offer a highly competitive salary, flexitime working hours, an excellent working environment along with long term and varied work.
