Home Office Lead User Researcher - Grade 6 £68,699 to £75,566 London We're looking for a passionate user researcher with proven leadership experience who is looking to take the next step in an exciting and dynamic part of the Home Office. Our Police and Public Protection Technology Portfolio (PPPT) is a broad and complex portfolio of national systems and core technology platforms that are enabling modern law enforcement and establishing a more joined-up working across the 43 police forces of England and Wales. This role is based in the Centre for Digital Design, which is particularly renowned for its user centred design values and leading the shaping and implementation of Product Centricity. The role As an expert practitioner in user research, you'll take on a key leadership role in our organisational transformation, working across five Technology law enforcement delivery programmes to embed best practice and product centricity. In particular, you will take responsibility for establishing and growing a user research community across PPPT, learning from and sharing best practice across wider government. Working with both the Head of the Centre for Digital Design and the Head of User Research, you will help to define the strategic direction of user research. This role needs someone who has an ambition to grow and develop a wide range of user researchers across a new and challenging areas of the organisation. You will be researching with and alongside our policing partners and wider enforcement community where you will drive world class national law enforcement products and services to protect and safeguard the public. Establishing partnerships with policing and other stakeholders, including external agencies, is a key priority.
