The role is that of an automation engineer: You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment such as note counters, bundlers, shrink wrap equipment, and coin equipment. Automation engineering background experience would be useful, with preferably an electrical qualification, as well as a focus a focus on customer service skills. Whilst specific banking sector experience is not necessary, it would be an advantage. 50/50 electromechanical engineers are welcome to apply. Experience of looking after printers, or gaming machines, or cash, or ATM machines would also be an ideal background. Location: The role is central belt based and will involve some travel to two sites in Glasgow and one in Edinburgh for which a generous car allowance is paid plus mileage. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end delivery of a project focused on tidying and organizing data cabling and installing new communications cabinets across multiple retail sites. This role requires strong project management skills, technical understanding of network infrastructure, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Delivery Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. Define scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business requirements. Site Coordination Oversee site surveys and ensure accurate documentation of existing cabling and network layouts. Manage the installation and configuration of comms cabinets and associated hardware.
