About the role Working in our Data and Analytics Delivery department, the Data Engineer will join the group on a 12-month fixed term contract to focus on the migration and integration of data into our new ecosystem.The Data Engineer will be designing, developing and testing quality data engineering solutions and will look to challenge and improve our processes, tools and approach. The person in post will undertake review and assurance activity, providing other team members with guidance on design, build and test activity.Adhering to standard driven code development, the Data Engineer will deliver solutions that meet business needs in a timely manner and will take responsibility for the testing of their solution, including the analysis of requirement, designs of test cases & scripts, preparing test data and creating and executing tests to ensure effective and accurate deliverables. We operate on a team led hybrid approach with at least 1 days a week in the Coventry or Manchester office. About The Role A highly experienced and technically proficient Developer in Test who has expert knowledge of Test Automation, Automation Frameworks, & Testing Services - ReadyAPI to help maintain, improve and move forward our existing test automation capability. This individual will have led automation teams and have the skills to assess the automation capability currently in operation at CBS, suggesting process improvements from best practice. With a deep knowledge of industry testing practices, technologies and processes this key individual will act as an internal reference point to other key stakeholder and 3rd parties, they will develop and drive forward innovation in test practices, focusing on optimisation, whilst seeking and implementing continuous improvements and actively ensuring that all testing activities are undertaken in line with the internal standards and policies. Work is primarily delivered through an agile framework working in multi-skilled product teams that deliver a wide range of hardware, infrastructure, or applications. Liaising and working with a multi-disciplined teams and the CIDO (Change and IT) organisation at large. This individual will also be a key member of our Automation Centre of Excellence (ACoE) helping to deliver internal initiatives, log and manage issues across QE, and promote Automation within the society. This expert will share their knowledge, providing coaching, training, & mentoring to colleagues to meet the strategic goals with IT Quality Engineering and to support others to reach their potential CIDO = Chief Information Digital Office About You An experienced coach and mentor who is a subject matter expert / expert in field, experience of researching and implementing new methodologies, tools and approaches to improve personal and / or team performance. Technically proficient, with proven experience in software Testing, with expert knowledge of testing practices, technologies and processes specifically in the area of automation and testing services (API). Experience of designing and undertaking the testing phase of technically complex IT solutions. A Strong team player, with excellent communication with experience in working, managing and governing of partner / 3rd party Testing providers, developing working relationships both internally and externally (RFP / RFI experience advantageous) Advocate for continuous improvements, seeks opportunities and delivers quality outcomes, keeping abreast of the latest technologies and helping to contribute to wider CIDO Strategy and Goals. Advance qualification or willingness to work towards is desirable. A certification in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or equivalent is highly desirable. • Professional coaching experience is essential. Certification is desirable • Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience of a broad range of agile topics, tools and techniques • Significant Agile/Lean knowledge with Demonstrable coaching experience • An expert of Knowledge in Scrum and/or other Agile Method, with expertise in either transformational, business or technical mastery (including continuous integration and continuous delivery) • Experience of working and leading across multiple agile teams, with knowledge and experience of working at scale (financial organisations is desirable) • Expert facilitation, mentoring and presentation skills • Outstanding communication skills at all levels • An understanding of DevOps is highly desirable About The Company Finally With wellbeing in mind and to comply with social distancing guidance, we are currently using digital platforms such as Zoom to conduct virtual interviews.
