Senior IT Engineer Position: Senior IT Engineer Reference: DHacs1859 Location: Salford Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum We are seeking a hands on Senior IT Engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving a dynamic, multi site IT environment supporting approximately 200 users across several international locations. This is a senior technical position suited to someone who enjoys working across a broad range of technologies, taking ownership of complex issues, and driving continuous improvement across systems, infrastructure, and security. Key Responsibilities Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and support the IT helpdesk Manage and maintain servers, networks, and Microsoft 365 environments Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and appropriately backed up Provide support across multiple international locations Lead technical projects and contribute to ongoing IT improvements Mentor and support junior members of the IT team Identify risks and proactively implement solutions to enhance system performance and security About You Proven experience in IT infrastructure and support at 2nd/3rd line level Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory Experience leading or mentoring within an IT support function A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively Additional Information Occasional travel may be required Some out-of-hours support may be needed from time to time Flexible working pattern available, including a 9 day fortnight or standard Monday to Friday
