What You ll Do Define solution architecture and technical strategy for a complex, high-scale platform Own end-to-end design across distributed, event-driven systems (Kafka, SQL, cloud-native) Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate vision into architecture Lead technical planning, standards, and best practices across multiple teams Provide architectural oversight and mentorship while influencing build vs. buy decisions Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability are built into the DNA of the platform What We re Looking For Proven track record designing or architecting distributed, high-volume systems Experience with event-driven architectures and high-throughput data pipelines (Kafka) Strong knowledge of at least one of: C#, .NET, Golang, or TypeScript , plus SQL/databases Ability to balance hands-on technical leadership with high-level solution design Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Experience in platform modernisation, migrations, or full-scale rebuilds is highly desirable Already started to explore AI in previous role Why Join Us? We are seeking an experienced AI Architect to join a global consulting team. This role is central to shaping enterprise-scale AI transformations, combining deep technical expertise with strategic client engagement. As a Gen AI Architect, you will: Lead the design and delivery of AI and cloud-native architectures, including Generative AI, NLP, and LLM solutions. Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and CAG (Cache Augmented) Architecture: Defining architectural patterns for end-to-end pipelines Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, guiding AI roadmaps and strategy. Translate complex business needs into scalable AI-driven solutions across public cloud, edge, and hybrid environments. Drive thought leadership through client workshops, industry forums, and technical advisory. Ensure AI solutions meet governance, ethics, and responsible AI standards. Collaborate with internal teams and global partners to deliver world-class AI platforms. Key Skills & Experience: 10+ years of technical leadership (with a strong background in Software Engineering / Enterprise scale architecture) Knowledge of GenAI operations (ideally, experience governing AI models in production environments) Expertise across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, and containerised systems. Strong technical skills in Python, Java/Go, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and data engineering. Proven ability to engage directly with CxO-level stakeholders. They are focused on delivering and managing long-term community services and initiatives and have a strong emphasis on social impact, sustainability and modern digital transformation. The Role The Principal Data Engineer will be a senior technical leader within a growing data engineering team. You ll help shape engineering strategy, architecture, and best practices across multiple product areas, supporting a data mesh approach while ensuring consistency and good governance. This is a hands-on role that blends technical expertise with mentoring, guidance, and collaboration across teams. AI Applications Engineer Remote (Quarterly onsite) Full-time Permanent £50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits This is an opportunity to join a scaling AI consultancy firm looking to enhance their capabilities further across Data Science, GenAI and Machine Learning. You ll be focused on the vision, design, and deployment of high-impact AI solutions, while also working across a range of real-world use cases and getting hands-on with the integration into production environments. Role Overview You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end AI solutions, from technical design and development to deployment and optimisation. Your work will involve integrating advanced AI models (including GenAI and reasoning-based models) into user-facing applications using modern full-stack technologies. Key Responsibilities Develop and deploy AI-powered features into production systems. Build and optimise automation pipelines for scalable delivery. Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and reasoning models into customer-facing applications.
