Description The Senior Business Analyst role will lead the activities for the BA function and act as bridge between the business and IT to gather and document key requirements, set expectations and agree a pragmatic schedule for delivery Facilitate workshops and one-to-one sessions to capture, elicit and understand user requirements Produce user stories, epics and acceptance criteria, documenting requirements clearly and concisely Obtain stakeholder priorities for upcoming work and use this to organise the product backlog Contribute to scrum team activities to ensure delivery of team goals Be responsible for building highly collaborative internal and external stakeholder relationships Escalate any potential issues, risks or defects uncovered as appropriate Report project delivery dates to key stakeholders Mentor junior team members Profile The successful candidate will have strong experience in a Senior Business Analyst role in a fast paced technology driven environment and have the following experience: Have worked as a Lead BA / Senior BA working on multiple projects Expert and passionate about business analysis An inquisitive mind, able to analyse complex problems and break them down into clear business requirements Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail Able to work collaboratively and confidently to facilitate workshops and meetings Able to build credibility quickly with stakeholders from all levels of the business Strong process mapping and requirements documentation skills. You'll perform up front analysis, establish business requirements, ensuring that work is planned and controlled, and providing a drive towards continual improvement. Some work will be required to assist in supporting the definition and delivery of the target operating model. This role works closely with the business to understand the operating environment, challenges, risks and opportunities and combines this business understanding with technical knowledge from HE and an industry perspective to identify, shape and promote appropriate solutions or process improvements that create clear business value. Profile You will have a background in business analysis and business process analysis and will be well versed in modelling complex IT and operational processes. You must be comfortable in your ability to elicit requirements, both technical and operational from stakeholders and end clients and you must be able to demonstrate clear understanding of common BPMN 2.0 elements and principles.
